Exposing Ethical Concerns: A Critical Examination of Leah Lederberger's Legal Practice
By the Lederberger Justice Project
Leah Lederberger, Esq.
Overview
Leah Lederberger is an attorney with over two decades of legal experience, specializing in family law and civil litigation. She is the founder of Lederberger Law, a firm located in Jackson, New Jersey, and currently serves as Litigation Chair at The Brown Law Firm in Lakewood, NJ. Our project, Lederberger Justice, was launched to investigate and document allegations of serious misconduct associated with her professional practice.
Education and Credentials
Juris Doctor: Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, 2004
Bachelor of Arts: Thomas Edison State College, 2002
Bar Admissions:
New Jersey (2004)
New York (2005)
Legal Practice
Lederberger Law
Lederberger Law focuses exclusively on family law, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, asset distribution, and domestic violence cases. However, concerns raised within our project suggest that her litigation tactics have, at times, crossed ethical boundaries, warranting public and legal scrutiny.
The Brown Law Firm
As Litigation Chair at The Brown Law Firm, Lederberger was tasked with overseeing litigation strategy. Reports gathered by Lederberger Justice have raised concerns about litigation practices that allegedly involved manipulation, misrepresentation, and intimidation. It is important to note that sources have suggested these concerns may have contributed to her eventual departure or termination from The Brown Law Firm, although official confirmation remains pending.
Professional Philosophy (As Represented and As Observed)
While public sources describe Leah as aggressive yet empathetic, the evidence and testimonials collected by our initiative depict a pattern of behavior characterized by:
Aggressive posturing crossing into unethical advocacy
Retaliatory threats against opposing parties
A disregard for truthfulness and procedural fairness
These concerns contrast sharply with the public image promoted through her firm's marketing materials.
Recently, she has been observed exhibiting a noticeably different demeanor: isolating herself socially, appearing visibly beaten down, and experiencing sudden, severe emotional outbursts. These behavioral changes may reflect increasing professional and personal strain as her alleged misconduct has come under greater public and institutional scrutiny.
Community Involvement
Although Leah Lederberger presents herself as involved in pro bono activities and local community affairs, multiple reports from our project suggest that concerns about her professional conduct have surfaced within both secular legal forums and religious (Bais Din) communities.
Client Feedback (Observed by Our Initiative)
While isolated positive reviews exist, Lederberger Justice has documented:
Grievances from clients and opponents describing manipulation, verbal intimidation, and abusive litigation tactics
Growing dissatisfaction among dayanim (rabbinical judges) and legal professionals who have directly interacted with her in contested proceedings
Ethical Complaints and Allegations
Anonymous reports and documented complaints reveal serious concerns, including but not limited to:
Knowingly submitting false or misleading information to tribunals and courts
Utilizing intimidation tactics against litigants and witnesses
Financial misconduct regarding client escrow funds
False and retaliatory accusations made to gain procedural leverage
Failure to uphold the duties of candor, honesty, and fair dealing required under RPC 8.4, RPC 3.3, RPC 1.1, RPC 1.4, and RPC 8.1
Formal grievances have been submitted to the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics and the Disciplinary Review Board. It must be noted that allegations are treated as allegations unless and until formally adjudicated.
Lederberger Justice Project Purpose
The Lederberger Justice initiative exists to:
Expose and document misconduct using credible, verifiable sources
Support victims seeking ethical redress
Educate legal and religious authorities about documented patterns
Ensure future prevention by holding professionals accountable under both secular law and halachic (Jewish legal) standards
Our initiative operates fully within legal and ethical bounds, emphasizing truthfulness, responsible reporting, and the protection of community welfare.

Subject: A Letter of Responsibility — and a Path Toward Resolution - feel free to forward this email too.
April, 2025
Via Email Only:
Dear Leah,
I hope this message reaches you with clarity and calm.
There’s no question that many of those involved in the recent efforts surrounding Project Lederberger
Justice are upset — some are angry, some deeply hurt, and many hold long standing grievances. But I
want to be unequivocally clear: this is not about revenge. It never was.
This has become about responsibility — about the duty to protect others.
Over time, what began as isolated concerns has evolved into something far greater. The sheer number
of individuals — clients, professionals, dayanim, toanim, therapists, and colleagues — who have stepped
forward, many of them reluctantly and with great emotional difficulty, is staggering. The testimonials,
the ethics complaints, the internal memos, the legal correspondences... Leah, they are real, and they are
many.
And yet, despite everything, I want you to hear this clearly:
This is not about punishing you. This is about preventing further harm — and offering you a way
forward.
Between you and G-d, I imagine you must already be aware of how many letters have been written.
Would it truly surprise you, when you see them all together? The outcry is too wide-reaching, the pain
too consistent, the patterns too undeniable.
Leah, this needs to stop.
The emotional, spiritual, professional, and psychological wake that trails behind you is not something
that anyone — not even those who once admired you — can overlook anymore.
We are all, at the end of the day, frum Jews. We believe in teshuva. We believe in accountability. And
we believe that no person is beyond redemption — but that no one is above responsibility either.
That’s why I want to gently ask you:
Would you be willing to voluntarily step back, even temporarily — to surrender your bar license or
request a formal break — while you seek the help and clarity you need?
Would you consider allowing Project Lederberger Justice to assist you in finding support, healing, and
restoration — not to shame you, but to stop the pain from growing?
This isn’t about disbarment as punishment — it’s about protecting others, and giving you the space to
reflect and recover.
You have a right to be treated fairly. But others have a right to be safe.
You have a voice. But so do those who have lived through the consequences of your conduct.
I do not write this lightly. I write this hoping that something reaches you — not through defensiveness,
but through reflection.
Leah, we do not hate you. But we cannot allow this to continue.
We want G-d to forgive us — and we must live by the same rules when we ask others to forgive us too.
You still have choices. You still have dignity. And you still have time to do the right thing.
With sincerity,
Lederberger Justice
“So no one else has to suffer in silence again.”

MISSION STATEMENT
Lederberger Justice exists to protect the vulnerable, expose patterns of unethical legal conduct, and create communal accountability rooted in truth, halacha, and human dignity.
We document misconduct, support victims, and guide professionals to fulfill their halachic and ethical duties without fear.
We believe no one is beyond redemption — but no one is above responsibility.
We will not be silenced, intimidated, or discredited by those who have weaponized fear.
We act with integrity.
We lead with facts. And we will continue —
until silence no longer protects power, and truth is no longer punished.Erev Shabbos Update – Wave Three
Dear all,
As we head into Shabbos, we wanted to reach out with gratitude, with clarity, and with conviction.
This is no longer a project.
It is a movement.
It is becoming something larger than anyone expected — not because of how loud we’ve been, but because of how long others have been silent.Since the release of our first two letters, we've received over 500 personal responses. Seventeen new grievants have come forward. Halachic authorities, toanim, attorneys, educators, and dayanim are now in contact. Some were shocked. Some were relieved. But most of them said the same thing:
“I thought it was just me.”
It wasn’t.
It never was.
And by now, you know that too.Lederberger’s Reaction: A Familiar Threat
Just last night, Leah Lederberger told her “trusted” friends —
and we say “trusted” because they clearly didn’t remain silent — the following:“I know who's behind it, and I will go after them for defamation. I’ll show them what Lederberger can do.”
Instead of taking responsibility…
Instead of asking herself how it came to this…
Instead of acknowledging the truth, the victims, and the opportunity to step back and seek repair…Her reaction is once again a threat.
Not introspection. Not teshuva.
But vengeance. We want to be clear: This campaign is not built on defamation.
It is built on documentation, verification, and ethical reporting.A Letter Was Sent — She Chose Threats Instead
Earlier this week, a private, respectful, and solution-oriented letter was sent directly to Leah Lederberger.
The letter — which will be attached to this update — was an opportunity.
A chance to resolve this with dignity.
A chance to voluntarily step back and begin healing. Her response?
More threats.
More posturing.
More halachic manipulation and legal saber-rattling.No attempt at amends. No reflection.
Just the same tactics we’ve all seen for years. Why This Campaign Is Protected (Legally and Halachically)
Let’s be perfectly clear.
Legally:
The campaign is based on verifiable exhibits, public filings, and first-hand professional accounts.
Under U.S. defamation law, truth is a complete defense.
Expressions of opinion, concern, or ethical pattern recognition are fully protected speech.
Our tone has been measured, our claims documented, and our intent ethical.
We do not act with malice.
We act with mandated professional duty and protected speech — especially under RPC 8.3(a) and First Amendment protections.Halachically:
Vayikra 19:16: Lo ta’amod al dam re’echa — Do not stand idly by while your brother’s blood is spilled.
Shulchan Aruch, CM 388:12–15: Reporting harm to prevent future danger is not only allowed — it’s required.
Chafetz Chaim, Hilchot Rechilut 9:1–4: Permits reporting of a baal aveira when others are at risk.
Teshuvot Igrot Moshe (CM 2:68): Supports reporting unethical conduct when patterns of damage are clear and ongoing.
This isn’t lashon hara.
This is to’eles — speaking out to prevent further damage.Due to Overwhelming Response: Two New Forms Released
In response to the volume of messages, we are announcing:
OAE Filing Intake Form – for those preparing to file (or supplement) formal complaints with the Office of Attorney Ethics.
Anonymous Victim Declaration Form – for individuals who were harmed by Leah Lederberger’s representation and wish to submit a sworn, protected statement without being publicly named.
These forms allow us to organize, verify, and aggregate the evidence — to protect victims and reinforce accountability.
To request early access: LederbergerJustice@gmail.com
As We Go Into Shabbos: Remember the Victims
Let’s be honest. The language we’ve used so far has been careful, legal, respectful.
But as we go into Shabbos, it’s time to sit with the truth:
There are fathers who haven’t seen their children in years, broken by false accusations.
There are women who believed Leah was their protector, only to be bled dry, manipulated, and discarded.
There are children emotionally scarred by scorched-earth litigation they never asked for.
There are cases where the trust account ran dry before the client even realized they’d been used. And now — a new trend is undeniable:
Most of her own clients don’t just leave unsatisfied. They leave wounded. They leave destroyed.
We’re no longer talking about legal malpractice.
We’re talking about human wreckage. As we enter Shabbos, think about those families.
Think about their pain.
And ask yourself — can we live with silence? What Comes Next
We are just getting started.
A secure website will be launched with documentation and survivor tools.
A hotline will open for intake and emotional support.
A blog will begin publishing verified case studies and ethical breakdowns.
And yes — the evidence is graphic, grueling, and hard to watch.
But it’s time the community saw what the victims lived through.
